Cierra 16 L Team
This weekend was our first tournament like situation. We played at the JJVA center on Saturday (one day tourney). We played all JJVA 16 regional teams, but it was still good for the girls to be able to play. The regional teams were clearly at a better skill level than the local teams, but my girls played with a great attitude and improved with each match. We got killed the first two matches but we hung in there and we won the first game of the 3rd match, lost the 2nd game, and went to a 3rd game where we won 17-15. It was awesome to see the girl’s confidence get greater as the day went on, and win the last match as the underdogs. They played hard, and worked together as a team. I was very proud of them.  We have a lot of basic skills we need to work on and harness, but they definitely work as a team.
