JJVA WEBSITE PRIVACY AND USAGE
POLICY
Jacksonville Junior Volleyball Association
(JJVA) is dedicated to protecting the privacy of the users of our site, and the
safety of our players. This policy statement explains what information we collect
and how we use it. By joining the JJVA site, you agree with the terms of
this Privacy Policy. Whenever you submit information via the JJVA site, you consent
to the collection, use and disclosure of that information in accordance with this
Privacy Policy.
ONLINE REGISTRATION
From time to time, you may be able
to register online for certain JJVA activities in our capacity as a club and/or
as a tournament
host, and personal information will be collected during the Online Registration
process. Personal information may include the Players and/or Parents name, address,
telephone number, e-mail address, date of birth, etc. The personal information that
you provide is used only by JJVA, and only for the purpose stated. JJVA will never
disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent. You provide
all information on a purely voluntary basis. A paper alternative will always be
made available for those who prefer not to use Online Registration.
If any personal information changes
(such as your address or phone number), you can update or remove it by contacting
us
here.
OTHER USES
Personal information may be used for
JJVA club business, such as travel tournament roster submissions, or the performance
of routine administrative tasks, such as communication of schedule changes or
billing updates.
Personal information is not used for any marketing or promotional purposes by JJVA or any third-party. Nor does JJVA link personal information to IP addresses, or
use cookies for any purposes other than security. If this should change in the
future, you will be notified, at which time you may opt out of any such use.
JJVA WEBSITE PROTECTION POLICY
JJVAs
website is not used for marketing directly to children under age 13, and therefore
is not directly governed by The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, effective
April 21, 2000. However, JJVA
applauds the acts intentions and recognizes the importance of protecting all of
our young players safety and privacy. By using the JJVA site, you agree with the terms of this Protection
Policy.
JJVAs
website policies regarding personal information and digital imaging fall into two
categories:
I - PLAYERS 12 AND YOUNGER
Online Registration for Players under the age of 13 will only be accepted from the
Players Parent/Guardian.
Posed pictures of Players under 13 will be limited to the team photo without caption.
Action photos of Players under the age of 13 that contain clearly identifiable elements
(full face, jersey number, etc) will not be used.
Team rosters for all teams below level 13, if used, will contain first names or
nicknames only.
II - PLAYERS 13 AND OLDER
Posed pictures of Players aged 13 and above may include the team photo, and one
individual shot, in uniform, to be used on the Players Spotlight page.
Action photos of Players aged 13 and above may be used.
Team rosters for all teams level 13 and above, if used, may contain full names and
jersey numbers. (Parent/Guardian may request that the player not appear on the roster).
Recruitment pages necessarily contain much personal information, possibly including
images and/or videos. As a result, access to these pages is limited to Eligible
Players, Parents, JJVA Coaches, and Recruiters. Access to recruiting video(s) is limited to the
recruiters.
Special recognitions, such as scholarships, awards, commitments, etc, may be highlighted
on the web site. (Parent/Guardian may request that the player not be featured.)
PLAYING UP
Any Player aged 12 or under who is playing on a level 13 Team or above will fall
under the policies for her age and not her team.
These
policies are intended to protect the safety and privacy of our young players, while
providing the public with a useful and entertaining look at the world of JJVA club
volleyball. Thank you for supporting our efforts to protect you child.
