Austin Lanteigne brings years of coaching and prior club owner/director experience to JJVA. Austin earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the United States Naval Academy and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Mississippi.
Austin began his coaching career as a student assistant at New Mexico Military Institute in 2004 and has continued coaching ever since. Austin previously served as the owner and director of Oxford Premier Volleyball Club (Oxford, MS) where he led 12 teams in the Delta Region over a span of three years after forming the club in 2014.
Outside of his club coaching experience, Austin has also coached at the high school level. He has served as an assistant coach at Escambia High School in Pensacola, FL, Atlantic Coast High School in Jacksonville, FL and Oxford High School (2016 MHSAA State Champions) in Oxford, MS. Austin recently served as an assistant coach at Ponte Vedra High School where he helped guide the team to a 2017 state championship under the leadership of head coach Robin Mignerey.
As a player, Austin earned All-State honors at Kellam High School in Virginia Beach, VA and was an Honorable Mention All-American outside hitter and EIVA Club Region MVP (2009) while playing at the Naval Academy. After playing competitive college volleyball, Austin joined the All-Navy volleyball program where he was a two-time All Armed Forces Beach Volleyball National Champion with partner John Goings.
Austin is married to former JJVA and UWF middle hitter standout Kara Lanteigne. They have a son, Weston, and they currently reside in Saint Augustine, FL where they serve as the Women’s Volleyball Coaches at St. Augustine High School.
