Monday marks the 10th weekly award a Wolf Pack player has earned this season, which leads the conference. Sheperis has recently received other honors from the conference, too, as she was named to the SSAC Championship All-Tournament team Sunday and she was picked to the SSAC All-Conference First Team and All-Freshman team last week. In seven matches at last week's SSAC Championship in Montgomery, Alabama, Sheperis led the tournament with a .401 hitting percentage while tallying 78 kills. The Yulee, Florida, native recorded a hitting percentage of .471 or better in four of those tournament matches, hitting as well as .567 in a win over Faulkner. Sheperis had 18 kills in that four-set match, earning career-highs in hitting percentage and kills. She also notched a 17-kill, .533-hit-percentage performance in the following match against Mobile. Sheperis has put together a 261-kill season in 27 matches to begin her Loyola career, averaging 2.56 kills per set. She's also first in the SSAC and 25th in the NAIA with her season hitting percentage of .326.
