Friday Team TAP League - Jacksonville Juniors Volleyball Association JJVA

2023 League Information

Ever wanted a low-key, stress-free way to try volleyball? JJVA offers age-group team-based training to enhance your basic individual volleyball skills! This is a beginner-level training and team program designed to introduce fundamentals to new athletes pursuing the sport of volleyball. This league is coached by both JJVA staff and junior volleyball coaches.

Session Details

Each Friday’s training session will be designed to train individual skills, team systems, and competitive league play. On the first Friday of each season, players will go through a fundamental skill-based evaluation session. Coaches will then formulate team assignments for the following and subsequent sessions throughout the season. All subsequent training sessions after the initial evaluations will be designed as follows:

1 hour of skill or team-based training (Serving, Passing, Setting, Hitting, & Team Systems)
30 minutes of scheduled league play (Coach Designed Wash Drills)

During tournaments, teams will compete against all four teams in their age group in a tournament format. Tournament games will be designed by coaches and may focus on a variety of different skill sets for each specific game.

Each player will receive an official JJVA uniform T-shirt included with the registration fee

**Parents: Please note that parents are welcome to attend and watch all training sessions and tournaments. However, parents will not be allowed onto the courts at any time and any “parent coaching” from the bleachers will not be tolerated. In addition, this program is designed to help promote and introduce athletes to the sport of volleyball.
